Product Details - Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Jacket


Take our classic original Nano Puff® Pullover, add a full-length zipper for greater all-around ease and, presto, the versatile Nano Puff Jacket. It is windproof and weather-resistant enough to wear as an insulated shell in a sudden squall, trim enough to pull on for chilly rock pitches (and still see your footholds) and warm enough for light belay parka duty on quick alpine dashes. The wind-blocking, moisture-shedding 100% recycled polyester shell also glides effortlessly, whether worn as an outer or midlayer. Low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible PrimaLoft® One (60-g) insulation traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. It packs down to practically nothing and stuffs into an internal zippered chest pocket that has a carabiner clip-in loop. It also has two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

        The Nano Puffs are very warm for being as lightweight as they are. They are great for layering. You can use them as a lightweight jacket over a tshirt or they go well under a jacket. They are even comfortable as a layer for around the house. I think they are supposed to stay warmer than down if they get wet, but I haven't been it that siuation yet.

          I work at Snowbird, UT. Frequently butt cold, so layers matter. This jacket has more range than anything I've ever worn. Never sweats in the locker room, totally warm at 11,000'. So light that you can stuff it into anything like a pack. Can handle wind, but I've never tried it in serious rain. O2gearshop clearly has their act together when it comes to real gear, fast shipping.
