With the Mega Rex 2L fabric, a two-layer fabric with a waterproof/breathable laminate coating plus a DWR finish, you arent going to be having issues with your layers getting wet. The 100% sealed seams and water resistant YKK zippers mean that there are no worries there either. The insulation in this jacket is the ever wonderful Polyfill which means that if the insulation gets wet, it still works! 80 grams of insulation in the body of this jacket keeps your core warm so the rest of you can stay that way too. 60 grams of insulation in the arms make sure that the warmth is carried all the way to your hands. Gets a bit too warm? No worries, just open up the No-Snag pit vents and you can chill yourself down. The hood in the Sonar is fixed but there is a ton of adjustability too, and the ergonomic profile means it looks great too. The reactive hood system is built in and means that you can go from putting your hood over your helmet to right against your face with a quick adjustment. And when you want to loosen it, a quick-release tab lets you do it in seconds, meaning more time on the hill and less time messing with your jacket. The hood is adjustable from inside and outside of the jacket. Great thing, all the excess bungee is stored inside the jacket and out of your way; because Armada is awesome like that. Microfleece in the goggle pocket and on the chin guard means that you and your goggles will be scratch-free too. Lycra wrist gaiters and an adjustable and stowable powder skirt mean that the snow stays on the hill instead of creeping up your jacket and the integration system for you pants means the snow stays out and you stay warm. With warmth and comfort like this, you can be the first one on the hill and the last one off it every weekend and never have to leave because of the weather getting too cold or wet.
