Lynx Pass rises above the Stagecoach area south of Steamboat Springs and was once hunting territory for the mysterious lynx. It’s a great area to car camp, backpack, mountain bike and harvest wood for cold winters. Lynx were reintroduced into areas of Colorado in 1997. If they have re-established themselves in this area, we aren't telling but we’ll keep looking. When the Lynx Pass tents were released, there were weekend backpackers, cash-strapped college kids and camping families in mind. Big Agnes wanted a tent line that could march off yo Philmont, get used and abused on the weekends or offer a refuge on a solo getaway. The single door construction and durable fabrics ensure versatile, affordable tents built without sacrificing Big Agnes quality.
