This Jacket is great. It has a low loft to it, but is very soft and feels slightly more wind resistant than most fleece. The jacket length is good does not ride up during activities. Does not seem too pill. I love this jacket.

I have pets that have white fur. So I have not been able wear a fleece for very long before having lint balls and pet hair accumulate on it. I did not want another northface fleece. When I found this I thought it wouldn't gather as much fur and I was wright! Now I actually can wear a black fleece without looking like a lint roller.
Also I bought the Mountain Hardwear rain coat shell to wear over it and they mesh perfectly together. The one thing I do not like is that it sheds until it was washed a good three times.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
