     The streamlined Beta AR Jacket provides the backcountry minimalist with durable storm protection in a lightweight and packable format. This hip length GORE-TEX Pro Shell jacket reduces layering overlap and bulk, a helmet compatible Drop Hood offers quick storm protection, and reinforced shoulder and elbows survive alpine abuse.

    A friend of mine had this jacket and I saw what it could do during a pretty heavy rain storm. I immediately started asking questions about it. I was shocked when looking at the detail of this coat. When I returned home I looked up the Beta AR online. It took me about a month to finally buy the jacket and let me tell you I could not be happier with the purchase. It was definitely worth the money. I took it outside for the first rainstorm and just watched the water roll off with ease. It's also very windproof. Living on Lake Michigan it blows quite a bit and it has saved me from the cold winds this fall. I use this jacket almost every day now weather the sun is out or if it's raining.

    I am 6ft 180 and a Medium size fits me perfectly with no bulkiness and room for a few thick layers underneath.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
