When the sun dips and the wind kicks, nothing beats high-loft down insulation during Arctic days or desert nights. The Down Sweater Full-Zip Hoody features 800-fill-power down, stabilized through a quilted construction and protected by a superlight but tough, windproof and water-resistant shell (100% recycled polyester ripstop) with a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Pockets: two zippered handwarmers and one interior zippered stretch-mesh that doubles as a stuff sack with carabiner clip-in loop. With a single-pull, 3-way adjustable helmet-compatible hood and a drawcord hem.

        I use this as a winter layer. Been wearing it in the 30s-40s and while its warm, I wouldn't wear it without something underneath if you're going to be outside for any length of time. Super light and packable. It will shed feathers but what down jacket doesn't? I was back and forth between the hoody and non-hoody. Glad I got the hoody as I use it quite a bit.

            6'3", 205 lbs got a large, athletic fit just right. Use this product instead of a hoody sweatshirt/ jacket combo, and it keeps me much warmer and protects from wind, rain and snow. Jacket is worn with a t-shirt or long sleeve underneath and will protect you from cold temps from 5 degrees F to 50 degrees F. With a beanie and a pair of liner gloves this jacket can do it all, great purchase and plan to wear it forever. Why four stars...I am scared I will rip it, but so far nothing.

              This is another high quality Patagonia item. It's super light and warm. I'm 6' 175 lbs and opted for a large. I comfortably wear a base layer and mid layer (like a mid weight fleece) and this down hoody over the top. That setup has kept me toasty warm in 0 degree weather. It also fits great under a shell for insulation. If you'd only wear a base layer or t-shirt underneath and wanted a slimmer fit a Medium would be the choice for my size. You can't go wrong with this item. Do it!

                Wear for warmth and looks. Also used the fuller down sweat by patagonia at NorthStar in a blizzard, stayed warm and dry all day. Patagonia sweater always washed very well. Bought this because of hood, like it alot and it looks nice!
