Product Details - Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Hoody

When missing the sunset curfew means climbing through spindrift rivers into the night, the Nano Puff® Hoody shines. It is windproof and weather-resistant enough to wear as an insulated jacket in a sudden squall, trim enough to pull on for chilly rock pitches (and still see your footholds) and warm enough for light belay parka duty on quick alpine dashes, or for climbing through the night when the dash isn't so quick. The elasticized hood opening snugs over low-volume helmets or under any helmet, adding thermostat-like warmth. The wind-blocking, moisture-shedding 100% recycled polyester shell glides effortlessly in your layering system, and low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible PrimaLoft® One (60-g) traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The hoody packs down to practically nothing and stuffs into an internal zippered chest pocket that has a carabiner clip-in loop. It also has two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

Comments about Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Hoody - Discontinued Colors:

The Nano Puff Hoody has been great. I use it whenever I am in a low activity situation where I want windproof warmth.

I purchased it at the same time as an R2 jacket. I have seen a lot of debate about the two and for my use I like both. The Nano Puff is definitely a go to for Spring and Fall stuff where wind will be an issue. The R2 is a great layering piece and is comfy to wear around a cool house, but requires a windproof layer when I am outdoors in windy areas. As such, if I know it is going to be cold the whole time, I can just bring my Nano Puff. If I know it is going to warm up, I will bring my R2 and a Houdini.

My only con above is that the zipper has a tendency to catch on the inner wind flap so I am careful when I zip it up.

Comments about Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Hoody - Discontinued Colors:

The weight of this Jacket makes it a must have for me. In the PNW it doesn't get too cold but cold enough to need something. With the full zip I can better regulate me heat and the hood give me more versatility.
